Churchill Downs Racetrack has opened ticket sales for the 153rd running of the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve and the Longines Kentucky Oaks. The upcoming racing events will take place on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, 2027, at the historic Louisville venue.
The ticketing rollout introduces new viewing areas, including Infield Turf Cabanas positioned along the turf course to accommodate groups of twelve guests. Additional upgrades feature an expanded Homestretch Club, increased Turfside Reserved Seating, and updated Infield General Admission areas.
The newly added Infield Turf Cabanas provide covered tables, private seating near the first turn, and dedicated amenities such as executive restrooms and bar concepts. Two-day ticket packages for these cabana spaces are priced at $480 per person covering both the Oaks and the Derby.
The venue also introduced temporary Victory Run Reserved Seating situated past the finish line, offering stadium-style tip-up seats with overhead coverage. Two-day packages for these reserved seats cost $1,632 and include food, beverages, official race programs, off-site parking, and shuttle transportation.
The Kentucky Derby is a 1.25-mile thoroughbred race for three-year-olds inaugurated in 1875 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. As the opening leg of the Triple Crown series, the annual event draws the highest attendance of any horse race in North America.
