Cast of The Gilded Age to release holiday album

Members of the cast of the HBO series The Gilded Age have recorded Voices Of The Gilded Age: The Christmas Album, set for release on November 6 through Concord Theatricals Recordings. The project will be available on digital formats, CD, and vinyl.

Songwriter and producer Desmond Child conceived and produced the project, bringing together Broadway and stage performers from the drama series. The album includes two new original tracks written by Child alongside traditional holiday songs.

The lead single, “The World Needs Some Christmas,” is performed by actor Ben Ahlers and is currently available ahead of the full release. The track is one of the new original compositions written by Child for the collection.

The tracklist features vocal performances by Christine Baranski, Laura Benanti, Denée Benton, Jordan Donica, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Donna Murphy, Kelli O’Hara, Taylor Richardson, Taylor Trensch, and Adrienne Warren. Cast members Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector provide spoken readings of Clement Clarke Moore’s ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas throughout the recording.

The release is co-produced by Sean Patrick Flahaven, mixed by Ian Kagey and Derik Lee, and mastered by Oscar Zambrano. The album arrives following the premiere of the fourth season of The Gilded Age on November 1 on HBO and HBO Max.
