Boston Children’s Museum hosts Gabby’s Dollhouse MEOWseum Discovery Days in September

Boston Children’s Museum has announced its participation in Gabby’s Dollhouse MEOWseum Discovery Days from Sept. 18 through Sept. 20, 2026. Organized in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation and the Association of Children’s Museums, the national initiative aims to encourage attendance at children’s museums across the country.

The three-day event returns to the venue for a second year to feature themed programming based on the television show Gabby’s Dollhouse. The museum’s schedule will incorporate elements inspired by the series’ Season 13 Fairylandia theme.

Visitors can attend a character meet-and-greet session with a costume character version of Gabby across all three dates. Scheduled programming also includes storytime sessions, a scavenger hunt to find hidden cat characters, and a craft activity focused on making Hamster Kitty Fairies.

Additional on-site activities feature a dance event led by the character DJ Catnip. Arthur G. Affleck III, executive director of the Association of Children’s Museums, noted that the partnership highlights values shared between the show and member museums, including creativity and social-emotional learning.

All event activities will run daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Programs are included with paid museum admission, though the venue requires visitors to secure advance reservations prior to attending.
