Paramount+ has announced A Course Called Ireland, a six-part documentary series starring actor Bill Murray and author Tom Coyne. The thirty-minute episodes follow the duo as they play across various golf courses in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The series is inspired by Coyne’s book A Course Called Ireland: A Long Walk in Search of a Country, a Pint, and the Next Tee. Throughout the episodes, Murray and Coyne are joined by Joel Murray, John Murray, Chris O’Dowd, Joanne McNally, and Jason Kelce.
The unscripted documentary features candid interactions and explores the landscapes and culture of Ireland alongside the golf games. The show is produced by Skydance Sports and Stellify Media.
Casey Scharf and Morgan Roberts serve as showrunners and executive producers, with Scharf originally developing the project. Chris Cottam is the series director, and executive producers include Jesse Sisgold, Jon Weinbach, Greg Groggel, Jason T. Reed, Kieran Doherty, and Matthew Worthy.
A Course Called Ireland premieres globally on Paramount+ on Sunday, October 25, 2026, excluding Latin America. In the United Kingdom, the series will air on BBC Two, BBC One Northern Ireland, and BBC iPlayer following commissioning by Catherine Catton and Eddie Doyle for the BBC.
