A&W Restaurants has introduced its first-ever Crispy Chicken Sandwich lineup at participating locations nationwide. The release comes after several years spent developing and perfecting the recipe.
The new offerings feature a hand-breaded crispy chicken filet served with pickles and creamy mayo on a toasted bun. Customers can choose between the standard Crispy, a Deluxe version with lettuce and tomato, or a limited-time Nashville Hot variety.
To mark the national release, the restaurant chain is running a promotional offer from August 17 through August 23. During this period, guests at participating locations can receive a buy one, get one free deal on any of the new chicken sandwiches upon request.
According to Betsy Schmandt, CEO and President of A&W Restaurants, the company spent seven years refining the recipe behind the scenes. Schmandt stated that the company believes the new offering will win over loyal chicken sandwich consumers once they try it.
