Multi-Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer MarcLo released his new single and music video “Haze” on Friday, serving as the final preview of his debut studio album, 11 Days, arriving April 17.

The track utilizes a blend of melodic R&B and spoken word to explore themes of isolation and professional obligation. “Eleven days after the fire, it’s still hazy / stuck in LA because it’s the city that pays me,” MarcLo sings, referencing the atmospheric and emotional weight of the Los Angeles wildfires that provided the backdrop for the album’s creation.

Born Marcus Lomax in South Florida, MarcLo developed his musical foundation in the church before moving to Los Angeles as part of the production collective The Monsters & Strangerz. While 11 Days marks his first full-length project as a solo artist, his work as a songwriter and producer has powered hits for a wide array of global stars, including Maroon 5, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and aespa.

The artist describes the upcoming album as a project rooted in transformation and creative clarity. Influenced by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Andre 3000, MarcLo’s solo work merges elements of gospel, jazz, disco, and hip-hop.

Haze” follows a series of singles that have introduced MarcLo’s personal creative chapter, moving him from behind the scenes to the forefront of the neo-soul and alternative R&B landscape. The accompanying music video, directed by Monhand Mathurin, further establishes the introspective visual identity of the project.

11 Days will be available on all major streaming platforms on April 17. “Haze” is currently available to stream, with the music video out now on the artist’s official YouTube channel.
