The historical feature film Young Washington became available on the Wonder Project subscription service on Prime Video on Oct. 1, 2026. The release follows the film’s summer theatrical and digital run, where it ranked as the second highest-grossing film at the domestic box office on July 4.
Directed by Wonder Project founder Jon Erwin, the movie stars William Franklyn-Miller as a young George Washington. The cast also features Kelsey Grammer as Lord Fairfax, Mary-Louise Parker as Mary Washington, and Ben Kingsley as Robert Dinwiddie.
The narrative chronicles George Washington’s early experiences as a soldier navigating conflict on the American frontier prior to the Revolutionary War. The film serves as the flagship title for “Stories Worth Knowing,” a curated collection that includes Elkhorn Season 1, Sarah’s Oil, A Great Awakening, Audrey’s Children, and Dolly Parton: Here I Am.
Subscribers can access the Wonder Project channel on Prime Video for $8.99 per month or $89.99 annually following a seven-day free trial. The “Stories Worth Knowing” collection is currently available to view on the platform.
