George Michael Entertainment, in partnership with Mercury Studios and Sony Music Entertainment, announced Tuesday that George Michael: The Faith Tour, a previously unreleased concert film, will debut in theaters worldwide later this year.

The film, shot during the 1988 European leg of Michael’s Faith tour at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, features restored and remastered footage from a 14-camera shoot on 35mm film. Directed by longtime collaborators Andy Morahan and David Austin, the release offers never-before-seen performances and behind-the-scenes material, including voiceovers from an unheard interview and photography by Herb Ritts.

The theatrical event will open with a short film by Mary McCartney, providing context for the tour and Michael’s influence on music and culture. Alongside the film, an 18-track live album, The Faith Tour, featuring previously unreleased recordings of Michael’s hits from his Wham! and solo catalog, will be released globally.

His influence spans music, fashion, and pop culture, inspiring generations of artists.

The Faith tour film and live album aim to capture the singer at a defining moment in his career, showcasing his vocal and performance prowess to a new generation of fans. Specific release dates for theaters and territories will be announced in the coming months.
