The animated series South Park reached 4.2 million multiplatform viewers in the United States across Comedy Central and Paramount+ during its first three days following the season 29 premiere. The performance follows the program’s recent Emmy Award win for Outstanding Animated Program.

On linear television, the season 29 premiere on Comedy Central outperformed the season 28 premiere by double digits in the adults 18 to 49 demographic based on live plus three-day ratings and share. The rating for adults 18 to 49 increased 33 percent to 0.970, while the share rose 20 percent to 4.77.

The broadcast ranked as the top non-sports cable telecast of the week among adults ages 18 to 49 from Monday through Friday. It also ranked as the most social cable comedy show of the day on social media platforms.

Across owned social channels, the series generated 11 million views and one million engagements during its first three days. Online mentions reached 63,000, representing a 40 percent increase compared to the initial three-day period for the season 28 premiere.

Additional new episodes are scheduled to air on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Comedy Central on Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 11, and Nov. 25. Episodes stream on Paramount+ on the same day in the United Kingdom, the following day in the United States, Canada, and Australia, and on Saturdays in all other markets where the service is available.
