Golden Corral has announced a back-to-school promotional offer that reduces the cost of its kids buffet to $2.50 on weekends. The promotion runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from July 31 through August 30 during breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours.

Under the terms of the deal, children ages 4 to 12 receive a buffet meal and drink for $2.50 with the purchase of an adult or senior buffet. The promotion carries a limit of one $2.50 kids buffet per adult or senior buffet purchase on the same ticket. Children ages 3 and under eat for free.

The restaurant chain is also highlighting choices that meet the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell program criteria. Featured menu items under the program include fish or barbecue chicken served alongside options such as steamed broccoli, baby carrots, fresh fruit, a yeast roll, and water.

Lance Trenary, chief executive officer and president of Golden Corral Corporation, stated that the offer is available to all visiting families rather than being restricted to rewards program members. The weekend offer is part of the company’s broader value campaign scheduled to run through the end of 2026.

Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, Golden Corral operates as a national grill-buffet chain with 99 percent of its locations locally owned and operated by independent franchisees.
