Gracie Abrams has officially released her third studio album, titled Daughter from Hell, through Interscope Records. The project was written and produced alongside her longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner.
The 16-track album focuses on the personal and universal experiences of life during a person’s twenties. The publication Rolling Stone awarded the release 4.5 stars, while the Associated Press gave the record a 4 out of 5 star review.
The album rollout began with the lead single “Hit the Wall” in May, which was followed by the second single “Look at My Life” last month. Promotional efforts for the release included an interview profile on CBS Sunday Morning and an intimate performance at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City.
The new record arrives two years after her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. That previous album featured the track “That’s So True,” which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Later this year, Abrams will begin the 64-date Look at My Life Tour, starting in Denver on December 2. The North American leg of the tour will hit major cities including Boston, Chicago, Nashville, Toronto, and Los Angeles before concluding in Brooklyn on March 20.
The concert series will move to Europe in April, opening in Paris and making stops in Amsterdam, Dublin, Manchester, and Milan. The tour is scheduled to conclude in Barcelona on May 28, following a four-night run at the O2 Arena in London.
