The Revivalists released their new single, “Get It Honest,” via Concord Records. The track serves as the title track and centerpiece for the New Orleans-based band’s upcoming sixth studio album. Frontman David Shaw wrote the song after waking up at 3:00 a.m., drawing from his experiences over the nearly two decades since he last had a drink.
The upcoming 12-track album, also titled Get It Honest, is scheduled for release on Friday, July 24. It marks the group’s first all-new full-length record in over three years. The album was produced by Rich Costey at Guilford Sound studio in Vermont, where the band previously recorded their 2023 album, Pour It Out into the Night.
The new record also features the opening track, “Heart Stop,” which was co-written by Shaw, Andriu “Yàno” Yanovski, and drummer PJ Howard. The single has reached the top 10 on the Billboard AAA chart. An official music video for the song, directed by Caroline Iaffaldano and filmed via a first-person-view helmet camera, is currently streaming on YouTube.
To support the release, The Revivalists announced their “Get It Honest Tour,” which begins July 14 with two dates at Nantucket’s Chicken Box and runs through November. Select dates will feature support from artists including Robert Randolph, Ax and the Hatchetmen, Paul McDonald, Wells Ferrari, True Loves, Rustic Overtones, and Olivia Barnes. The band is partnering with Concerted on an “honest ticket” program, offering tickets to fans who complete two hours of community service.
The band’s 2026 live schedule also includes a performance at Vancouver’s FIFA Fan Festival concert series, a record-release set at David Shaw’s Big River Get Down in Hamilton, Ohio, and a run supporting The Red Clay Strays that includes a stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on August 9. Additionally, the band will host a music cruise, The Revivalists Present Otherside of Paradise at Sea, sailing from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, from November 3 to November 7.
