Luke Bryan announces new album ‘Signs’ during ‘American Idol’ finale

Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan announced the upcoming release of his new studio album, Signs, during the season finale of “American Idol” on Wednesday night.
The album is scheduled for release on Sept. 18 and is currently available for pre-order. Bryan, who just concluded his ninth season as a celebrity judge on the program, performed a new track from the project titled “Fish Hunt Golf Drink.”
“It is always a great day when I get the chance to release new music,” Bryan said. “I’ve been working on this album for the past year, and I just love how it turned out. I was able to co-write a few, then turn to the writers in Nashville to round them out. I feel like my fans have always let me record songs that make you feel good, so I went into this album wanting everyone to just have fun.”
The new track was co-written by Bryan, Chase McGill, and Matt Dragstrem. It marks the third song Bryan has released in the past two months, following the February release of “Word On The Street” and his current radio single, “Country And She Knows It.”

The announcement comes as Bryan prepares to launch his 2026 “Word On The Street” tour on May 29 in Gilford, New Hampshire. Additionally, Bryan and Jason Aldean have added four dates to their co-headlining stadium tour following a sold-out performance at UGA Sanford Stadium in April.
Later this week, Bryan will perform Farm Tour dates in California on May 15 and 16. Since its inception in 2009, the Farm Tour has awarded 90 college scholarships to students from farming families.
Throughout his career, Bryan has amassed 32 No. 1 singles and 12 million global album sales. He has been recognized as the Billboard Top Country Artist of the 2010s and is a recipient of the ACM Album of the Decade Award.
