Nikon expands 2026 tour with new stops and creator-focused programming

Nikon Inc. has announced a significant expansion of the Nikon Tour for 2026, doubling its schedule to reach 10 U.S. cities with enhanced educational tracks for photographers and filmmakers.
The tour, which is free to the public, will introduce specialized programming days including “Intro to Photography,” “Z Day,” and “NIKKOR Z Lens Day.” A new video-focused session will highlight the Nikon ZR, the company’s first cinema camera. The initiative is designed to provide hands-on gear access and workshops for creators ranging from beginners to seasoned professionals.
“The Nikon Tour is about bringing our community together and empowering creators at every stage of their journey,” said Fumiko Kawabata, senior vice president of marketing and planning at Nikon Inc. “With expanded programming this year and more opportunities to connect, learn, and create, we’re excited to continue building meaningful experiences.”
The 2026 tour officially begins May 15–17 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, hosted at the Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary. Led by Nikon Ambassador Tamara Lackey, the opening stop will offer attendees the chance to test the latest Z series equipment, including the Z5II, Z50II, and Z8 models.
As part of the mobile experience, Nikon will travel between cities in a custom-branded yellow SUV that serves as a hub for on-site activations. Select stops will feature appearances by Nikon Ambassadors and creators, including Kristi Odom, D’Ann Boal, and Staci Brucks, who will lead photo walks and instructional sessions.
Registration for the Chapel Hill event and information regarding future stops are available through the company’s official website.
