Chaka Khan, Morris Day to headline Prince 10th anniversary celebration

Organizers of the official Prince Celebration unveiled the first round of participants Tuesday for the “10th Anniversary Celebration of Life,” a five-day event marking a decade since the global icon’s passing.
The event, scheduled for June 3–7, will span Paisley Park in Chanhassen and various locations in downtown Minneapolis. In a historic first, key members of Prince’s former bands, The Revolution and New Power Generation (NPG), will unite on stage to perform together.
The initial lineup of performers includes 10-time Grammy winner Chaka Khan, Morris Day, Miguel, Tevin Campbell, and Kat Graham. Musical collaborators Bobby Z and Lisa Coleman of The Revolution are set to join NPG veterans Morris Hayes, Tony M, and Levi Seacer, among others.
“Ten years on, we miss Prince immensely yet Prince’s presence remains as powerful and transformative as ever,” said L. Londell McMillan, a longtime Prince associate and organizer. “This Prince Celebration is not only about honoring his extraordinary body of work, but about continuing the spirit of innovation, community, purpose and fearless creativity that defined his life.”
The 2026 programming will feature rare screenings and tributes to several of Prince’s iconic albums, including “Parade,” “Emancipation,” and “3121.” Attendees will also have access to unreleased music from Prince’s legendary vault and panels featuring the engineers and musicians who helped craft his sound.
Signature events for the week include a DJ dance kickoff at the historic First Avenue nightclub and a downtown block party at the Prince mural. Special guests scheduled to appear include legendary bassist Bootsy Collins and the production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
While multi-day passes are currently available, single concert tickets will go on sale to the general public on Earth Day, April 22. Click here for the ticket link.
