Harry Potter and the Cursed Child extends Tom Felton engagement

The producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child announced Tuesday that actor Tom Felton will continue his record-breaking run as Draco Malfoy at the Lyric Theatre through Nov. 1, 2026.
Felton is the only actor from the original film series to join the Broadway cast of the play, which has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the highest-grossing non-musical play in Broadway history. The production currently stars John Skelley as Harry Potter and Aidan Close as Scorpius Malfoy, performing alongside Felton’s Draco Malfoy.
The play was written by Jack Thorne based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany. It has earned six Tony Awards, including Best Play, and has sold more than 11 million tickets worldwide since its London premiere in 2016.
Producers noted that Felton will take several scheduled breaks during the extension, with no performances scheduled for the actor from May 11-31, Aug. 17-23, Sept. 14-20, and Oct. 12-18. Tickets are currently available through the show’s website and the Lyric Theatre box office. Click here to purchase tickets.
