The Home Depot launches 2026 Halloween collection with tech upgrades to popular giant skeleton

The Home Depot is launching its 2026 Halloween collection online and through its mobile application on July 16, 2026. The seasonal merchandise will subsequently arrive on physical store shelves starting in late August.

The retailer’s viral 12-foot giant skeleton, known as Skelly, returns this year with several technology upgrades. Customers can now use an app to customize the skeleton’s head and mouth movements, speak through the figure in real time using Bluetooth, and choose from multiple eye effects.

The original version of Skelly will be available in stores for 299 dollars. The Home Depot has capped the price of all its in-store giant animatronics under 300 dollars to make the decorations more accessible.

New giant-sized additions to the 2026 lineup include an 11-foot LED mummy with poseable shoulders and adjustable wrappings. The collection also introduces an eight-foot animated plant monster featuring motion-triggered head movements and glowing LED lights.

Other animatronics in the collection feature interactive technology, such as a five-foot animated parrot that responds to yes-or-no questions. The company is also selling specialized heavy-duty storage totes and bags to help customers protect their large decorations during the off-season.
