Tamarack Resort reopened its Tamarack Express chairlift to the public this past Saturday, July 4. The independent, all-season destination completed the required infrastructure repairs four days ahead of its original July 8 target date.
The early reopening followed a successful lift tower replacement project completed alongside lift manufacturer Leitner-Poma. The resort’s mountain operations team partnered with Granite Excavation, ALLWEST Testing & Engineering, Knife River, and Salmon River Helicopters to finish construction and clear all safety inspections.
Chief Operating Officer Kara Finley stated that safety remained the primary priority throughout the repair and inspection process. Finley noted that the team secured full regulatory approval before resuming operations and welcomed guests back to the mountain ahead of schedule.
The chairlift has now returned to its regular seven-day weekly operating schedule following special holiday weekend hours. The Mid-Mountain Lodge also opened over the weekend to offer food and bar services, and the venue will debut a regular summer barbecue and live music series starting Saturday, July 11.
The resumption of lift services arrived just ahead of the Big Mountain Enduro race scheduled for July 10 and July 11. The mountain biking event features free registration and complimentary camping, with trail access available via seasonal passes or individual bike haul tickets.
