Punk rock veterans Social Distortion have released “Partners In Crime,” the second single from their upcoming eighth studio album, “Born To Kill.” The track serves as an anthem for the band’s long-awaited return, with the full album set to debut May 8 through Epitaph Records. The release marks the end of a 15-year hiatus between studio albums for the group. Founder Mike Ness described the new single as a song about finding one’s voice and the “strength in unity” found among those who share similar feelings of angst and rage. The track follows the album’s title track, which has garnered nearly 3 million streams since its release last month.
“Born To Kill” features 11 songs and was co-produced by Ness and Dave Sardy. The record includes guest appearances from Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams. The album’s cover art is a collaboration between Ness and artist Shepard Fairey. Click here to pre save / pre order Born To Kill.
The band will support the new release with a 25-show North American tour beginning Aug. 25 in Phoenix. The tour, which includes support from The Descendents and The Chats, will visit 22 cities before concluding Oct. 3 in San Diego. Click here to purchase tickets.
