Lego has unveiled its first-ever adult-targeted building set themed around the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. The release is designed in partnership with Paramount Products and Experiences to celebrate the inaugural SpongeBob Day and the character’s birthday. The Lego Icons SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom building set contains 1,794 pieces.
The new model features several notable locations from the long-running television series, which has aired for more than 25 years. Builders can construct SpongeBob’s pineapple home, Squidward’s Easter Island-inspired house, Patrick’s rock residence, and a Jellyfish Fields display. Each building facade contains detailed interior rooms, including SpongeBob’s furnished living room and bedroom alongside Squidward’s living space.
The set includes three classic character minifigures representing SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward. Additionally, builders can assemble brick-built versions of Gary the Snail and the character DoodleBob. Several hidden references from the show are integrated into the build, including a boatmobile, Squidward’s clarinet, and a portrait of Gary.
The main Bikini Bottom set will be priced at $219.99 and is scheduled for immediate purchase starting September 1, 2026, with pre-orders beginning July 14, 2026. Interested buyers can find the product at physical Lego stores and on the official company website.
Alongside the main set, the company is releasing a 72-piece Lego BrickHeadz SpongeBob SquarePants Figure designed for builders aged 10 and older. The individual figure features a signature jelly fishing net and is priced at $12.99. Pre-orders for the BrickHeadz figure are also open, with the official retail launch scheduled for September 1, 2026.
