Gibson, Devon Allman, and Duane Betts have announced the tenth annual Allman Betts Family Revival tour. Titled “A Decade of Revival,” the 20-date national tour begins Nov. 28 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Devon Allman and Duane Betts, sons of founding Allman Brothers Band members Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, will lead the touring lineup. The annual event originally began in 2017 as a 70th birthday celebration for Gregg Allman.
Each show on the upcoming tour will feature two distinct performance sets. The first set will focus on Allman Brothers Band music from the 1970s, while the second set will highlight material from the band’s 1990s era.
The Allman Betts Band will perform alongside a revolving cast of guest musicians throughout the tour. Confirmed guest artists include Robert Randolph, Sierra Hull, Judith Hill, Andy Frasco, Luther Dickinson, Jimmy Hall, Steel Beans, Larry McCray, Cody Dickinson, Alex Orbison, and Abby Stahlschmidt.
The tour format uses an ensemble approach inspired by The Last Waltz, bringing together performers from blues, Americana, country, and rock genres. Past tours have featured guest appearances by Slash, Jason Isbell, Steve Earle, Amanda Shires, Sierra Ferrell, and Marcus King.
