New clinical research data supporting the efficacy of Tylenol with Naproxen is being presented at the 20th Annual PAINWeek Conference in Las Vegas from Sept. 8 to Sept. 11, 2026. The findings stem from two Phase 3 clinical studies evaluating post-surgical dental pain and bunionectomy pain.

The presentation follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval of the non-opioid over-the-counter medication in July 2026. The product combines 650 mg of acetaminophen and 220 mg of naproxen sodium into a single fixed-dose pill.

In a Phase 3 study on moderate-to-severe post-operative dental pain, the combination medication outperformed single doses of acetaminophen alone and naproxen sodium alone over a 12-hour period. Pain relief began in under 30 minutes during trials.

A separate Phase 3 study focused on post-surgical bunionectomy pain showed sustained relief compared to a placebo. Trial data indicated that the combination medication reduced the total amount of opioid rescue medication used over 48 hours by nearly 40 percent compared to placebo.

The clinical program for the product spans eight total studies conducted over a decade. Tylenol with Naproxen is indicated for minor aches and pain in adults and children 12 years and older, and will be available at major retailers nationwide.
