Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings will release Bob Dylan’s The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1976 Live Recordings on November 6, 2026. The 39 CD box set gathers professionally recorded shows from the second leg of Dylan’s 1976 tour, alongside backing musicians and guest performers.
The collection contains 381 total tracks, including 371 previously unreleased recordings sourced from original tapes. The set covers the 27-date tour that ran from April 18, 1976, in Lakeland, Florida, to May 25, 1976, in Salt Lake City.
In addition to the CD collection, a three-LP set featuring the complete May 16, 1976, show in Fort Worth, Texas, will release on the same date. The vinyl release was remixed from the original multi-track tapes and includes 22 tracks.
The tour featured guest appearances, including duets with Joan Baez on songs such as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Railroad Boy.” Dylan was backed by a band that included bassist Rob Stoner, violinist Scarlet Rivera, drummer Howie Wyeth, and guitarists Mick Ronson, Steven Soles, David Mansfield, and T Bone Burnett.
The physical box set includes liner notes written by music journalist Mikal Gilmore and a collection of photographs. Preorders for both the CD set and the vinyl release opened on September 15.
