Beck announces North American ‘Ride Lonesome’ tour following surprise single

Beck

Eight-time Grammy winner Beck announced a 25-date North American tour this week, following the surprise release of his new single, “Ride Lonesome.” The upcoming trek, produced by Live Nation, is scheduled to visit several renowned theaters and amphitheaters across the continent beginning this September.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of the “Ride Lonesome” single and accompanying video. Produced by Beck and mixed by longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich, the track features several musicians who performed on the artist’s previous milestone albums, Sea Change and the 2015 Album of the Year winner Morning Phase. The song is described as a return to the haunting, acoustic-driven sonic landscapes found on those records.

The “Ride Lonesome Tour” will officially launch on Sept. 16 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. The itinerary includes high-profile stops at the Santa Barbara Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The tour is also scheduled for multi-night residencies in San Francisco, Toronto, and Brooklyn before concluding on Halloween at The Truth in Nashville.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m. local time via ticketmaster.com
