TNT Sports to air ‘Banana Ball’ summer showcase on truTV and Max
TNT Sports will bring the high-energy spectacle of “Banana Ball” to a national television audience this summer with a 15-game weekly showcase on truTV and the Max streaming service.
The series, presented by Tropical Smoothie Cafe, is scheduled to begin Friday, May 8, at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. The opening matchup features the Savannah Bananas taking on the Party Animals as part of the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour.
The 14-week television schedule includes 13 Friday night games and will feature stops at several major professional sports venues, including Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Coors Field in Denver, and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Several broadcasts will also originate from Grayson Stadium, the home base of the Savannah Bananas in Georgia.
“Banana Ball” has gained significant social media traction for its unconventional rules and entertainment-focused format, which includes choreographed dances, elaborate player walk-ups, and a rule where foul balls caught by fans count as outs.
The televised matchups will feature teams from the expanding Banana Ball Championship League. Participating squads include the Savannah Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters, the Texas Tailgaters, the Loco Beach Coconuts, and the Indianapolis Clowns.
The broadcast deal follows the success of last year’s inaugural Tour Championship and marks a continued push by TNT Sports to diversify its live sports programming on truTV and Max.
