Paramount+ will premiere “Frisco King,” starring Samuel L. Jackson, on Dec. 18 with two episodes. New episodes will follow every Friday, exclusively on the streaming service. A teaser has been released.
Taylor Sheridan wrote the series, which expands the “Tulsa King” universe. Jackson reprises the role of Russell Lee Washington Jr., a veteran New Orleans gangster who lands in Frisco, Texas. He finds a hustler’s playground beneath the polished surface of American suburbia and recruits an ambitious protégé, a loyal driver and a growing network of partners.
The cast also includes Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann. Sylvester Stallone makes a special appearance.
Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios produce the series. Sheridan, Stallone and Jackson are among the executive producers. Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman, who also executive produce, each directed four episodes, and Voros directed the pilot.
