Jittery Joe’s Coffee is now sold at more than 100 Lowes Foods locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The coffee is roasted in Athens, Georgia, and is available at participating stores.
The lineup includes Pete’s Groovy Brew in whole bean and ground varieties, Tour de Force ground coffee and single-serve instant packets, and Café de Olla. It also includes Widespread Panic Up All Night Coffee and Pete the Cat Hot Cocoa. Product selection may vary by store.
Michael Ripps, president and co-owner of Jittery Joe’s Coffee, said the company has spent more than 30 years roasting coffee in Athens and growing one relationship at a time. He said Lowes Foods understands the value of regional brands and the communities behind them.
Jittery Joe’s opened beside the 40 Watt Club in Athens in 1994. It has grown into a retail and wholesale coffee company with cafes across Georgia and customers around the country. The company roasts its coffees to order at its Athens facility with beans from producers around the world. Newsweek recently named it one of its Best Premium Coffee Brands of 2026.
Lowes Foods was founded in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in 1954. It serves communities across the Carolinas and Georgia and has a long-standing commitment to supporting local businesses and bringing regional products to shoppers.
