Pluto TV has launched a redesigned platform interface, marking its largest technology investment since the company was founded 12 years ago. The service migrated its architecture to the same technology stack used by Paramount+.
The redesign combines live and on-demand programming into a single interface. Company officials noted that the update focuses on improved personalization features and navigation as free streaming television usage grows, particularly among viewers ages 18 to 34.
Alongside the technical overhaul, the streaming service increased its third-party licensed content library by 63 percent compared to the previous year. Licensing agreements with studios including NBCUniversal, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony, MGM, and Lionsgate have added additional television series and film franchises to the platform.
Newly available series on the service include The X-Files, Arrow, Hart of Dixie, and Burn Notice. Film additions feature titles from the John Wick, Rocky, Creed, and Jump Street series, as well as individual movies such as A Star Is Born, The Notebook, and Pitch Perfect.
To support the product updates, the service launched a new marketing campaign titled Escape to Pluto TV. The promotional campaign features actor David Duchovny alongside appearances by James Jordan, Paulina Chavez, and Kel Mitchell.
