Apple TV has released the trailer for Brothers, a new comedy series starring and executive produced by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Showrun and executive produced by Lee Eisenberg, the eight-episode series will premiere globally on Wednesday, September 23.
The show debuts with its first two episodes, followed by one new episode released every Wednesday through November 4. Paramount Television Studios serves as the production studio for the series.
In Brothers, McConaughey and Harrelson play fictionalized versions of themselves whose friendship is upended by the potential revelation that they are biological brothers. The storyline kicks off when Woody and his family travel to Austin for an extended stay at Matthew’s ranch following his daughter’s broken engagement.
During the visit, Matthew’s mother, played by Holland Taylor, reveals a long-buried secret regarding the pair’s potential family relation. While Woody investigates the truth behind the secret, Matthew balances the situation alongside a potential campaign for governor of Texas.
The ensemble cast includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe, and Holland Taylor. Trent O’Donnell directed multiple episodes of the season, including the pilot.
