Paramount+ has released the official trailer for a new three-part documentary series titled The Real Wolf of Wall Street. The upcoming project is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, July 14, with all three episodes available to stream at launch.
The docuseries explores the history of Jordan Belfort and his brokerage firm, Stratton Oakmont. While the previous Paramount Pictures feature film depicted the group as the face of 1990s excess, this project focuses on a darker account of their rise and subsequent collapse.
Production features never-before-seen footage alongside thousands of internal FBI documents. The series also incorporates archival interviews and firsthand accounts from former members of Belfort’s inner circle.
Interviews include perspectives from Belfort’s former wife, Nadine, regarding her experiences during their marriage. The overall narrative tracks Belfort’s financial rise, his legal downfall, and the impact left on those in his wake.
See It Now Studios, Maxine Productions, and Bloomberg are producing the series, with Jesse Sweet serving as the showrunner. Executive producers include Mary Robertson, Jesse Sweet, Anneka Jones, Jason Leopold, Cassie Thornton, Amy Palmer, Michael Bloom, Susan Zirinsky, and Terence Wrong.
