The Icelandic rock band Kaleo will embark on a North American concert series this summer titled the Way Down We Go Tour. The expansive seasonal schedule features performances throughout the United States and Canada, beginning in June and extending into September. The group is touring with a rotating lineup of supporting artists on select dates, including Dawes, Elle King, Darren Kiely, Vincent Lima, Geoffroy, and Dogpark.
The concert series coincides with the June 10 release of the 10-year anniversary deluxe edition of their breakout debut album, A/B, distributed through Rhino Records. Originally formed in 2012 by a group of childhood friends in the suburbs of Reykjavik, Iceland, the band features lead vocalist and guitarist JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, and guitarist Rubin Pollock. The musicians have achieved global commercial success, amassing billions of streams and earning numerous international gold, platinum, and diamond certifications.
The commemorative double-vinyl album reissue highlights several prominent tracks, including the global charting single Way Down We Go alongside All The Pretty Girls and No Good. The new anniversary collection also introduces rare studio tracks, including recording variations previously unreleased outside of Iceland, and notable live performance tracks. The group’s extensive performance schedule for the season includes major venue appearances, stadium openings, and regional festival stops.
