Collaboration history continues as Duran Duran partners with Nile Rodgers and top electronic producers

Duran Duran has released a new double-remix single for their track “Free To Love,” which features long-time collaborator Nile Rodgers. The release introduces two distinct electronic reworks of the song created by dance music producers Horse Meat Disco and DJ White Shadow.
The release pairs a disco-influenced interpretation with a futuristic club version titled the DJWS & THE DISCO_NECT Remix. The new versions are designed to alter the sonic presentation of the original track while maintaining its lyrical focus on freedom and connection.
London-based collective Horse Meat Disco, established in 2004, focused their remix on a blend of disco, house, and underground music styles. The group stated that working on the project with the band and Rodgers was an honor.
The second track on the release comes from Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Paul Blair, known professionally as DJ White Shadow. Blair utilized a cinematic electronic production style intended to provide a new rhythm suitable for modern dancefloors. He noted that his goal was to honor the emotional tone of the original track while shifting it into a new electronic format.
The collaborative relationship between the band and Rodgers began more than 40 years ago with a remix of the single “The Reflex.” The new remixes follow a series of live performance announcements for the group.
The band is scheduled to perform at California’s Beachlife Festival, a multi-night residency at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, and a month-long European tour. They are also set to headline the BST Hyde Park event on July 5, 2026, alongside special guests Scissor Sisters.
