Dance Gavin Dance launches Tree City Sessions 3 featuring re-recorded discography catalog

Dance Gavin Dance has released Tree City Sessions 3, a live studio compilation featuring newly re-recorded tracks from the band’s past discography. The tracklist spans multiple eras of the Sacramento-founded group’s history, including selections such as “The Robot With Human Hair, Pt. 3”, “Need Money”, and “It’s Safe To Say You Dig The Backseat”.

The album is available across digital streaming networks today, with physical versions including compact discs and limited vinyl options sold through the band’s store and the Rise Records platform. A broader commercial retail distribution is scheduled for June 19, 2026. Drummer Matthew Mingus noted that the project places a distinct performance focus on the vocal range of singer and guitarist Andrew Wells across the older catalog material.

The release coincides with an active tour schedule alongside supporting acts The Fall Of Troy, Horse The Band, Wolf & Bear, and Novelists. Upcoming regional itinerary stops include New York City, Boston, Toronto, and Pittsburgh. The band is also scheduled to perform at various seasonal music festivals this year, including Sonic Temple and a selection of appearances on the Vans Warped Tour lineup.
