Scream 7 is coming to Paramount+ on May 28

The horror sequel Scream 7 is scheduled to debut on Paramount+ on Thursday, May 28, following its initial theatrical run. The film will be available to streaming subscribers across both the United States and Canada.
This latest installment marks the return of Kevin Williamson, the screenwriter of the original 1996 film, who transitions into the director’s chair for this chapter. Williamson also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Guy Busick, working from a story developed by Busick and James Vanderbilt. The plot follows franchise lead Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, as she attempts to shield her daughter, portrayed by Isabel May, from a new recurring antagonist in their local town.
The production brought together an ensemble cast that features returning franchise actors Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Roger L. Jackson, and Matthew Lillard. New additions to the franchise lineup include Anna Camp, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, and Joel McHale.
The streaming release follows a February theatrical launch managed by Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group. During its theatrical window, the movie generated more than $214 million in global box office ticket sales. The performance establishes the film as the highest-earning entry in the franchise’s 30-year operational history.
The project was produced by Project X Entertainment, with William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein serving as producers. Executive producers include Gary Barber, Chris Stone, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena, and the filmmaking trio of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella. The title joins the existing six films in the franchise currently hosted on the service.
