Little Big Town announces 12th studio album It’s a Dying Art

Country music group Little Big Town will release its 12th studio album, titled It’s A Dying Art, on August 28 through MCA. The band announced the project alongside the release of a new track, “Over and Over.”
The four-member group, consisting of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook, has been together for more than 25 years. Fairchild co-produced the upcoming record alongside two-time Grammy winner Gena Johnson, whose previous credits include work with Jason Isbell, Dolly Parton, and Brandi Carlile.
The album features collaborative tracks with multiple guest artists. Listeners will hear appearances by Ashley Monroe, Jason Isbell on the track “The Door,” and Kelsea Ballerini on a song titled “Closing Time.” Other confirmed tracks on the project include “Hey There Sunshine,” “It’s Coming Around,” and “The Idea.”
The band recently debuted the new song “Over and Over” during their performance at the Stagecoach music festival. Fairchild wrote the track alongside Ashley Ray, Jonnie Simpson, and Madi Yanofsky.
This follows the live debut of another album track, “Hey There Sunshine,” which the group performed earlier this month at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards.
The album is currently available for pre-order in both digital and physical formats, including CD and vinyl versions. The band’s official website will also carry limited, exclusive signed copies and special color vinyl editions.
