HBO Max has released the official teaser for its new original comedy series, “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe,” during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation.

The 10-episode series is scheduled to debut Thursday, July 23, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max. Following the premiere, new episodes will be available to stream each subsequent Thursday.

The series stars Kevin Sussman as comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, who is tasked with restoring reality after breaking a device built by characters Sheldon and Leonard. The mishap leads to a “multiverse Armageddon,” according to the show’s logline.

Joining Sussman in the cast are Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert and John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke. The series features the group encountering alternate-universe versions of characters from “The Big Bang Theory.”

“Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. It was created, written and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady. Kyle Newacheck serves as executive producer and director for multiple episodes.
