Three-time Grammy Award winner Ariana Grande announced Tuesday that her eighth studio album, titled “petal,” will be released on July 31 via Republic Records.

The album is executive produced and co-written by Grande and long-time collaborator ILYA. Grande described the project as “something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.”

The announcement follows the success of her 2024 album “eternal sunshine,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced two No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

Fans can currently pre-order “petal” in various digital and physical formats, including standard vinyl, CD, cassette, and an exclusive vinyl variant available through the artist’s official website.

The news comes during a significant year for the artist’s film career. Grande recently starred as Glinda in the feature films “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good,” which have collectively grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide. Her performance in the series earned her Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actress.

Grande is also set to star in the upcoming film “Focker-In-Law” alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, scheduled for release this November. Her future projects include a West End stage debut in “Sunday in the Park with George” in 2027 and a role in the upcoming season of “American Horror Story.”
