Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer has released “Evolve CLUBSOS Vol. 1,” a dance-focused reimagining of the track Evolve from their latest album, “Everyone’s a Star!” The release introduces a new club concept for the group, transforming the original song into a dancefloor format.
The release follows the band’s recent performance at Lollapalooza, where members performed on specially produced lifts 25 feet above an estimated audience of 100,000. During the festival set, the group debuted the updated version of the track for the crowd.
The CLUBSOS concept was officially launched during an aftershow event at the Salt Shed venue in Chicago. Following that performance, fans took to social media to request additional dance-oriented releases from the band.
Formed in Sydney in 2011, the group consists of members Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin. Over their 14-year career, the quartet has sold more than 18 million albums and six million concert tickets globally, while accumulating over 10 billion streams and three number-one debuts on the Billboard 200 chart.
The band’s career achievements include multiple honors at the ARIA Awards, MTV EMAs, and MTV VMAs. Their current release cycle under Republic Records marks their sixth studio album, “Everyone’s a Star!,” which was preceded by the lead single “Not OK.”
