Spirit Halloween has partnered with celebrity astrologer and author Aliza Kelly to match each zodiac sign with a Halloween costume. The pairings were announced Oct. 21 and include ideas for solo costumes, couples, and groups.
“Halloween is the ultimate celestial playground where energy, identity, and astro-expression meet,” Kelly said. “Whether your chart demands fiery main-character energy or ethereal mystery, your sign already knows what you should wear, and Spirit Halloween is your place to find it.”
Aries (March 21 to April 19), The Main Character, is ruled by Mars and favors bold silhouettes and high adrenaline. Suggested costumes include Dungeon Crawler Carl or Dr. Doom. Couples can go as a Gladiator and Empress or JLo and Maverick.
Taurus (April 20 to May 20), The Bougie Hedonist, is ruled by Venus and prefers luxury and comfort. Suggested looks include a velvet cape, a goddess costume or an Egyptian Queen.
Gemini (May 21 to June 20), The Chaotic Chameleon, is ruled by Mercury and may change costumes a dozen times. Suggestions include Ghostface from Scary Movie’s “Wassup” and “Still Stoned” pair. Harley Quinn and Joker are offered for more mayhem.
Cancer (June 21 to July 22), The Nostalgia Queen and King, is guided by the Moon and leans toward throwback cinema and vintage looks. Suggested costumes include Velma and Scooby-Doo, or the entire Mystery Machine crew. Barnacle Boy and Mermaid Man are a more niche option.
Leo (July 23 to Aug. 22), The Center of Gravity, is powered by the Sun and described as a theater kid at heart. Suggestions include Rumi from K-Pop Demon Hunters or Dolly Parton with a DIY “Gambler.” Another option is an era-defining popstar and her championship tight end.
Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22), The Detail Purist, is ruled by Mercury and focused on screen-accurate detail. Suggested costumes include a Ghostbuster with a proton pack. Couples can go as a pair of Murder Drones.
Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22), The Aesthetic Icon, is blessed by Venus and drawn to high-romance glamour. Suggested couples costumes include Morticia and Gomez Addams or Emily and Victor Van Dort from Corpse Bride.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21), The Spooky Season Sovereign, is described as at home on Halloween because it falls in birthday season. Suggestions include a bloody Pennywise. Couples can go as Dexter and a bloody corpse.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21), The Wild Card Adventurer, is ruled by Jupiter and needs a look that lasts through multiple parties and a late diner run. Suggestions include AI Slop, with extra hands and makeup for an authentically fake face. Groups can dress as the Louvre Heist team with crown jewels.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19), The Power Player, is ruled by Saturn and described as a born closer. Suggested costumes include a goth-inspired Mob Boss or Golden Age Hollywood glam. Couples can go as Fiona and Shrek.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18), The Avant-Garde Disruptor, is powered by Uranus and described as ahead of the trends. Suggestions include a Steampunk look or a modern Celestial Witch with metallic accents and crystal headpieces. Couples can dress as a pair of Yip Yips.
Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20), The Ethereal Dreamer, is Neptune’s muse and drawn to gothic fairytale looks. Suggestions include a dark-feathered Fallen Angel. Couples can go as a Siren and a zombified Shipwrecked Sailor.
