HARDY, Little Big Town and The Red Clay Strays will perform on New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. They are the first performers announced for the nearly five-hour CBS special, which returns to Music City to ring in 2027.
The special will air live from downtown Nashville on Thursday, Dec. 31. It will be shown from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT and again from 10:30 p.m. to 1:05 a.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. It will also stream live on Paramount+ (Premium) and be available the next day.
HARDY will bring his genre-blurring country-rock sound, and Little Big Town will perform their catalog and GRAMMY Award-winning harmonies. The Red Clay Strays, the 2026 ACM Award winners for Group of the Year, will show the energy that made them one of country music’s fastest-rising bands. The night will end with the Music Note Drop at midnight, and more performers will be announced later.
Fans in Nashville can attend the celebration for free at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, where the Music Note drops at midnight. The live event will feature back-to-back performances across multiple time zones. That brings Nashville’s celebration to audiences nationwide.
Robert Deaton and Mary Hilliard Harrington are executive producers, in partnership with Music City Inc., the foundation of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. Sandra Restrepo directs the special.
