TNT Sports will open its 2026–27 regular season coverage with a doubleheader on Wednesday, September 30, broadcasting across TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.
The opening game features the Pittsburgh Penguins visiting the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:30 p.m. ET. Kenny Albert will handle play-by-play duties alongside analysts Eddie Olczyk and Brian Boucher.
The second broadcast begins at 10 p.m. ET as the Colorado Avalanche host the Los Angeles Kings. Play-by-play announcer Brendan Burke will call the matchup with commentary from Darren Pang and Jackie Redmond.
Studio coverage starts at 6 p.m. ET with a 90-minute pregame show originating from Stateside Live! in Philadelphia. Host Liam McHugh will be joined by analysts Wayne Gretzky, Henrik Lundqvist, Anson Carter, and Paul Bissonnette.
The network’s regular season schedule includes weekly Tuesday and Wednesday telecasts, Sunday games during the second half of the season, and the Thanksgiving Showdown. TNT Sports will also hold exclusive coverage of the Discover NHL Winter Classic between the Colorado Avalanche and Utah Mammoth at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on New Year’s Eve, as well as the 2027 Stanley Cup Final.
