Los Angeles indie rock band Jawdropped has released “Cup,” the lead single from their upcoming debut album, Secret to Spare. The 10-track record is scheduled for release on September 18 through Transgressive Records and Canvasback.
Written and self-produced by band members Roman Zangari, Kyra Morling, Sean Edwards, and Cook Lee-Chobanian, the album was recorded live to capture the group’s stage sound. The project features engineering by Colin Knight and mixing by Alex Farrar.
Lyrically, the album draws inspiration from overheard conversations, personal experiences, and stories of people moving to Los Angeles to pursue careers in the arts. The track “Cup” expands on narrative themes originally explored in an earlier song by the group titled “Star.”

The band recorded the album during weekends and free days throughout 2025 while balancing day jobs and touring schedules. The group previously released an EP and toured alongside labelmates Greg Freeman and Rocket.
