Professional dancer and television personality Reece Weaver will make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago starting Monday, September 7, 2026. Her engagement at the Ambassador Theatre is scheduled for six weeks, concluding Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Weaver gained widespread public recognition appearing in the Netflix series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Prior to her television appearance, she earned a degree in dance from the University of Alabama and performed with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for three seasons.

Chicago is the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, featuring music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. The production won six Tony Awards in 1997, including Best Musical Revival, alongside a Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

The production is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. Set in the 1920s, the storyline follows Roxie Hart as she uses media coverage and legal defense strategies to avoid conviction following the murder of her lover.

The current company features Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Mark Ballas as Billy Flynn, Jacqueline B. Arnold as Matron “Mama” Morton, Eddie Cooper as Amos Hart, and J. Workman as Mary Sunshine. Tickets are available online and at the Ambassador Theatre box office in New York City.
