The Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Anheuser-Busch have announced an expanded partnership leading into the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The initiative includes nationwide events, fundraising efforts, and donations aimed at supporting military members, veterans, and first responders through housing assistance.
As part of the collaboration, Anheuser-Busch will serve as a national sponsor for the 2026 Tunnel to Towers Run, Walk, and Climb Series. The company is coordinating with its national network of wholesaler partners to sponsor or participate in local race events across the country through November.
On August 8, the partnership supports the Steel Across America campaign by displaying an authentic World Trade Center steel beam outside Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The event will also feature a special on-field presentation during a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.
The company is sponsoring the annual Tunnel to Towers NYC 5K Run & Walk on September 27 for the fifth consecutive year, with a team of 250 employees, family members, and friends participating. The Budweiser Clydesdales will lead the opening procession with the Siller family, and commemorative Budweiser cans will be available at post-race gatherings over the weekend.
On September 11, the foundation and brewer will re-air Budweiser’s 2002 “Respect” commercial to mark the 25th anniversary. Originally broadcast during the 2002 Super Bowl, the advertisement featuring the Clydesdales has previously aired only twice since, on the 10th and 20th anniversaries.
Over their five-year partnership, Anheuser-Busch has provided more than $750,000 to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The brewing company notes that active service members and veterans currently make up more than 10 percent of its workforce.
