Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has released her latest single, “Black Prada Dress,” ahead of her upcoming sixth studio album. The new record, titled I Know Too Much, is scheduled for global release on September 4.The single premiered during Goulding’s live set at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and quickly generated traction on social media platforms. Goulding is scheduled to perform the track on the television program Later… with Jools Holland on June 7, marking a return to the show where she first appeared in 2009 prior to her debut album release.The track focuses on the themes of perception and self-preservation. Goulding wrote the single alongside executive producer Jack Rochon, an emerging talent she initially discovered on TikTok. The duo spent the last two years developing the collaborative material for the upcoming album.”The album came from the idea that maybe we can know too much,” Goulding said. “Through the chaos of this great change, I went to my comfort zone and found my refuge in the studio. Writing a song has always been my best form of therapy.”Goulding has accumulated over 55 billion streams and sold more than 44 million albums globally. She currently ties with Adele for the most number-one albums by a British female artist in the UK, and she holds the record for the most UK Singles Chart entries for any British female solo artist. Earlier in 2026, her past single “Starry Eyed” returned to the UK Official Charts after reaching the top spot on TikTok.Beyond her studio recordings, Goulding’s career includes environmental advocacy and business ventures. She was awarded an MBE in 2025 for services to biodiversity and the climate, and she serves as a ambassador for both the UN and WWF.
