Singer-songwriter Keenan O’Meara has released his new single, “Halley’s Comet,” ahead of his upcoming debut album, Bathe in the Everlasting Light. The 12-track project is scheduled to release on June 26 through Belting Bronco Records.

The largely acoustic album features musical contributions from Sufjan Stevens, Hannah Cohen, Sam Evian, and Meg Lui. O’Meara tracked the record in a home studio he built himself, utilizing a hushed, intimate production style with crisp guitar strums, piano chords, and occasional string and woodwind accents.

Nine of the album’s 12 songs emerged from a strict songwriting exercise where a group of musicians wrote one song per day over a three-week span. O’Meara wrote his contributions after returning home from his daily construction job. This process also helped spark material for other projects, including Stevens’ album Javelin and Cohen’s Earthstar Mountain.

The album release follows a significant shift in O’Meara’s career after musician Zach Bryan reached out on social media to press O’Meara’s older material. O’Meara subsequently contributed guitar, piano, and vocals to Bryan’s 2026 album and is currently performing as the opening act on Bryan’s European stadium tour.
