The Voice finalist Cami Clune releases single “Screwloose”

Singer-songwriter Cami Clune has released a new independent pop-rock single titled “Screwloose.” The track introduces an upcoming EP scheduled for release later in 2026.
The new single focuses on the emotional detachment and exhaustion that can occur at the end of a relationship. According to Clune, the arrangement begins with a quiet sigh before shifting into an upbeat, chaotic production to mirror that internal state.
“It’s the confusion of watching someone fall apart over the ending while you feel relieved, detached, and completely okay,” Clune said of the track. “It’s fun and catchy on the surface, but underneath it’s brutally honest.”
The release follows recent national media attention from outlets including NPR, Reuters, and The New York Times. The coverage centered on a viral moment during an NHL playoff game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Bruins.
When a microphone malfunction cut off Clune’s performance of “O Canada,” the stadium crowd finished the anthem from the stands. Clune serves as the primary anthem singer for the Sabres and has also performed for the Buffalo Bills and NASCAR.
The Buffalo, New York native previously gained national recognition as a finalist on season 19 of NBC’s The Voice, where she received a four-chair turn from the coaches.
Her upcoming EP project explores themes of identity, heartbreak, and emotional growth. The songs were initially tracked with the producer Grabbitz and finalized alongside Keegan Ferrell during recording sessions in Nashville.
