Alternative rock band Sleeping with Sirens has released a new single titled “Paralyzed” alongside an accompanying visualizer video. The track serves as a preview for the band’s eighth studio album, An Ending in Itself, which will be released on June 12 through Rise Records.

The new single represents one of the heaviest tracks on the upcoming 12-song record. According to vocalist Kellin Quinn, the band drew musical inspiration from artists they listened to while growing up, such as Thrice, The Used, and Haste the Day.

“We had a blast making it and really leaned into the bands that shaped and inspired us growing up,” Quinn said. “It’s aggressive, emotional, and captures a side of us we’ve always loved exploring.”

The album was produced by Will Yip, who has previously worked with acts such as Turnstile, Circa Survive, and Movements. The project represents a return to Rise Records, the label that previously handled the band’s album Feel, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, as well as their gold-certified record Let’s Cheers to This.

The upcoming record follows the thematic direction established in the band’s recent albums, How It Feels to Be Lost and Complete Collapse. The project’s first single, “An Ending in Itself,” was recently performed by the band during an acoustic set in New York City in collaboration with Subway Creatures. The band also recently released a performance-driven music video for another album track, “Forever/Always,” filmed in an early spring forest.

Physical pre-orders for the album are currently open, featuring options for exclusive colored vinyl with signed inserts and a 24-page zine CD containing behind-the-scenes photographs and handwritten lyrics.

The current lineup consists of Quinn on vocals, guitarists Nick Martin and Tony Pizzuti, bassist Justin Hills, and drummer Matty Best. To support the release, the group is scheduled to play a headlining show in Raleigh, North Carolina, on June 11, followed by appearances at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas and festival dates at Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Warped Tour stops in Washington D.C., Long Beach, and Orlando.
