Rock bands Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms are scheduled to perform during the live three-hour season finale of “American Idol” on Monday, May 11.
The bands will take the stage alongside several of the program’s finalists during the broadcast, which airs at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC and Disney+. The appearance follows an announcement made during the May 4 episode of the singing competition.
The television performance serves as a precursor to the groups’ upcoming 36-date co-headlining summer tour, which begins July 6. The tour is set to include stops at the Hollywood Bowl and SummerStage in Central Park, featuring hits such as “Run-Around” and “Hey Jealousy.“
