R&B singer UMI to make Blue Note debut with multi-city residency

Rising singer and songwriter UMI will make her debut at the Blue Note Jazz Club this summer, with headlining dates scheduled across the brand’s venues in Los Angeles, New York, and Honolulu.
The tour is in support of her latest album, “people stories,” recently released via Epic Records. The project, which blends R&B, neo-soul, and alternative pop, has been noted by critics for its exploration of the human experience and emotional truth. The album features personal touches, including spoken word outros from the artist’s therapist and intentional sonic imperfections meant to mirror the messiness of life.
The residency kicks off at Blue Note LA on June 18. Following the West Coast date, UMI will travel to Blue Note NYC for a two-night engagement on June 24 and 25. The series concludes with a two-day run at Blue Note Hawaii in Honolulu on July 3 and 4.
